Following up on my earlier post on juicing for acne, inflammation and anxiety, I would like to share with you some tips and insights on juicing for anemia, weight loss and detoxification. Regularly drinking juice from specific vegetables and fruits can have multiple health benefits and must be incorporated in to your daily regime. While my earlier post also speaks about specific juicers i recommend and those recommendations hold true for this post also, it is important that you start drinking juices daily irrespective of whether it has been produced by a juicer or not. Those juicers are rated highly and will make your life easy but may not prove useful until you discipline yourself to make and drink juices daily. Read on to know more...
JUICING FOR ANEMIA
1) SWISS CHARD -
Swiss Chard is rich in Vitamin E, K, B6, riboflavin, calcium, magnesium,phosphorus, potassium, copper, manganese and fiber when consumed..
It’s a good source of zinc, foliate andthiamin. Swiss Chard consists of key phytochemical anthocyanin and this makes it effective in preventing cancers in the the digestive tract.
Swiss Chard is a source of vitamin K, important for maintaining bone density.It’s great for diabetics because it protects damage to the kidneys.
Additionally, swiss chards are a fantastic source of iron which is needed for red blood cell formation and anemia prevention.
2) TURMERIC -
Turmeric is a source of many essential vitamins such as pyridoxine (vitamin B6),choline, niacin, and riboflavin, etc. Niacin helps prevent"pellagra" or dermatitis.
Only a few grams of turmeric per day either as a powder or a crushed root or fresh root can provide the requisite nutrients to prevent anemia, neuritis, memory disorders along with offering protection against cancers, infectious diseases, high blood pressure and even strokes.
3) POMEGRANATES -
Owing to its huge content of iron, pomegranate juice is a fantastic home cure for anemia because once inside the body it promotes higher levels of hemoglobin.
JUICING FOR WEIGHT LOSS AND DETOX
1) WHEATGRASS -
Wheatgrass is one of natures super vegetables and it assists in speeding up the blood circulation and metabolism. It also enhances digestion, that reduces excess fat in the body. Enzymes in wheatgrass and raw food contribute to weight loss for those that have tried it.
Additionally wheatgrass helps in stimulating and regenerating the liver. Keep in mind that the liver is the main organ of detoxification in our body and it performs hundreds of different functions. Wheatgrass is known to improve liver functioning.
2) GRAPEFRUITS -
As per the U.S. Department of Agriculture, an average grapefruit contains only about 80 calories.
This lower calorie count,in addition to the fruit's high water and fiber content, makes it a perfect food for weight loss and a healthy weight management regime.
3) LEMONS -
The pectin present in lemon peel is a great source of fiber that is thought to be helpful overweight people lose weight.
Raw lemon juice cleans the kidneys and the digestive system. In addition it helps the body in removing toxins and provides a substantial detox. A lot of people have honey with warm water and lemon juice first thing in the morning.
4) TOMATOES -
Tomato juice is known to aid in managing weight and boosting the entire immune system.
Tomato juice helps stimulate metabolism and suppress hunger,which can lead to weight loss.
Additionally, tomato juice can significantly increase the amount of energy through the day.
5) CILANTRO -
Cilantro has a bunch of benefits such as lowering blood pressure and guarding against bacterial infection from salmonella
Also, cilantro helps in reducing swelling and helps prevent urinary tract infections, relieve arthritis, stomach aches, helps reduce nausea, reduce cholesterol and cellulite, improve digestion.
Also interestingly cilantro eases mood swings associated with premenstrual syndrome, reduces cramping.
Cilantro juicing aids detoxification - Cilantro promotes liver functions, disinfecting and detoxifying the body. 6) BEETS -
Beet juice is known to stimulate liver cells functions and protects the liver and bile ducts.
Beets are a great way to detoxify the blood and renew it with minerals and natural sugars. It aids the reconstituting of the blood, bringing important sustenance to the brain, heart, lungs, liver and kidneys.
For women specifically, beet Juice helps alleviate menstrual disturbances and menopausal symptoms - It acts as a powerful kidney and blood cleanser.
7) KALE -
Kale contains a lot of fiber which is useful for detoxifying your body and keeping your liver healthy.
